Aron Fay is a graphic designer based in Brooklyn and the Founder & Creative Director of FAY, a graphic design and creative technology studio based in Brooklyn, NY.
Prior to starting FAY, he worked for Michael Bierut at Pentagram for six years, ultimately as an Associate Partner. During his time at Pentagram his clients included The Brooklyn Academy of Music, Mohawk Paper, Verizon, the MIT Media Lab, the World Science Festival, the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, the MIT Technology Review, and the Apollo Theater (amongst others).
In 2018, he started FAY, where he and his team work with clients on projects ranging from brand identity design, to strategy, websites, campaigns, interactive installations, custom design tools, books & publications, print & packaging and motion design.
His work has been published by the likes of Print Magazine, Wired, The Brand Identity, Creative Review, Brand New, It’s Nice That, Creative Boom and Fast Co. Design. He has also received awards from the Art Directors Club, Type Directors Club, D&AD, Communication Arts, Fast Company, SEGD, and YCN to name a few. In 2015, he was nominated for the prestigious Design of the Year Award at the Design Museum in London.
Fay has also taught graphic design and typography at the School of Visual Arts and has been a guest critic at institutions such as Parsons, Maryland Institute College of Art, and The School of Visual Arts.
He is also the founder of comp, a design workshop focused on designing and producing high quality notebooks and other design products & tools.
Outside the office, Aron can be found tinkering with synths, djing with friends, seeing music, experimenting with new emerging technologies, and learning Japanese.
